The Timoun-Ayiti Foundation is a private foundation, located in the Netherlands Antilles. We support the work of those who give poor, and often orphanaged, children in Haiti shelter, education and a replacement of family life.
Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world, with 70% of the population living in extreme poverty. The children are the most vulnerable victims of this poverty. The public school system is virtually nonexistent. Learning to read and write are one of the few options for these children to learn something and build a future for themselves.
